My good buddy, Richard Wharton, suggested this. A Newbie Corner. Once or twice a week, I will review a cigar that’s been around for some time to help the Newbies make decisions about the sticks that the more experienced smokers have been toking on for some time.
My first review will be the trusty San Cristobal by Pepin Garcia. This is not it, just a teaser.
I have a whole bevy of cigars in my humidors that are excellent, reasonably priced cigars that are medium in body. I don’t smoke mild bodied cigars. The stronger the better, but really what is important, is that the cigar is full flavored. Flavor is everything. In these reviews, we will learn how to identify flavors by training your palate.
This is from the Holts Cigar web site:
“Paradise has never been so palatable. A literal feast for the senses, San Cristobal features the blending talents of the Garcia’s combined with Ashton’s commitment to offering nothing but the best. Purely Nicaraguan in composition, San Cristobal offers profound complexity in every puff. Bold earth and cedar flavors swim hand in hand with subtle, creamier flavors while a peppery spice and dark chocolate-like sweetness alternate on the backend. Simply put, these cigars maintain an incredible balance of power and Ashton’s supreme smoothness and are easily one of the best cigars on the market.”
