    • Hey Mark,
I go through this personal pandemic every winter.
I have an immune disorder called IgA.

      From John Hopkins:
“Immunoglobulin A (IgA) is an antibody blood protein that’s part of your immune system. Your body makes IgA and other type of antibodies to help fight off sickness. Having an IgA deficiency means that you have low levels of or no IgA in your blood.

“IgA is found in mucous membranes, mainly in the respiratory and digestive tracts. It is also found saliva, tears, and breastmilk. A deficiency seems to play a part in asthma and allergies. Researchers have also linked IgA deficiency to autoimmune health problems. These are health problems that cause your body’s immune system to attack your body by mistake.”

That last sentence? I believe I’ve paid my dues for my body to stop making mistakes…but what do I know?

      Be safe Copper Mark,

      • How does this effect your potential exposure to Covid?

        • Hey Rufus,
It scared the shit out of me when the pandemic started. But I believe I had a mild version in the middle but the doc and the ER said stay home til you feel you’re dying…then come in.
I made sure to get my vaccines including the booster. Even got my flu shot.
It’s wonderful getting older and turning into your parents…er…grandparents.
I do like to spit into the quava section at the grocery.

  3. Sorry to hear that. I have bad sinuses too and it’s game over for smoking when I get an infection. Feel better soon.

It doesn’t help you maintain health
