My cigars have had 2 months of naked humidor time.

THE WHOLE MEGILLAH:
This is an extremely limited edition of only 500 boxes of ten. Generally, bigger cigars need bigger rest. But if this cigar is really good, I want to do more than report on a corpse. I want to give you the chance to snag some sticks of your own. Or pass on them if they have a dog-like quality.

I’ve never smoked a cigar with such a radical box press. The draw is a bit unwieldy, but I allow my PerfecDraw to sleep in. It is always at the ready should the coach need to send it in.

No pungent aromas emanating from the wrapper.

A mild start with notes of dark chocolate, creamy cashews, black pepper, and salted caramel.

Only slightly complex this early on. In its place, are rich and creamy flavor points that steer the blend in the right direction.

Construction is better than I had hoped. Crisp char line. Slow burn.

Most of the rock and pop musicians I look up to are an average of 5-8 years older than me. The next 5 years will be critical as I fear they will be dropping dead en masse. Even in the age of asbestos and lead our parents grew up in, we Boomers are not outliving them. Is this a trend. Have we moronically poisoned ourselves as the species falls into an unprecedented downward arc. It is up to Gen Z to save humanity. Oh no.

Caramel makes a delightful push. A spicy conglomerate of black and red pepper is at play but tamed by an even keel blending process that sees the creaminess tame the beast.

Strength is medium.

Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don’t.

Only 1” burned in 30 minutes. Yikes. Using my abacus, this cigar will last approximately 17 days. No idea what I did with my slide rule collection. The shit we throw away and wish we still had. Silver dollars. Stamps. 1967 condoms. Mustard packets. Brain cells.

Creamy chocolate. Spicy peppers. Caramel. Assorted nuts. Cinnamon. Baking spices. Worcestershire sauce. Unami. Espresso.

Not sure if the cigar needs an additional 6-8 months of humidor time or this is just the nature of the blend. Either way, it is an enjoyable distraction.

The balance is skewed towards the savory. The cigar needs a hefty dose of natural sweetness. Just my preference. Yours may differ.

Oddly, the cigar’s complexity is not punchy. Yet, the flavor profile is delightful. Strength ratchets up to medium/full. I haven’t eaten liver and onions in 35 years. You don’t realize how essential ketchup is until it’s too late.

As if a light switch has been flipped, the cigar becomes overwrought with power.

I enter the skinny portion of the squished cigar shape. This cigar is going to last longer than your typical Gordo.

Zero natural sweetness. Not my jam.

I skip ahead in an attempt to keep your attention.

2” to go. Over two hours.

The cigar is brutally strong. You gotta man up for this blend.

There is no sweet spot. Rather, an intense bevy of flavors that fight for survival in the presence of pure power. The complexity is peg legged due to the absence of sweetness.

This is a journeyman blend. I wish the balance was better.
