My cigars received 3 months of naked humidor time.
I reviewed the Vegas Cubanas 10-1/2 years ago. Might be a good time to re-visit.

THE WHOLE MEGILLAH:
Nicely weighted cigar. Plugged to the hilt. My PerfecDraw is compliant. It’s four wives and 17 children are on vacation in the South Bronx. Social Services is alerted. They don’t respond due to lack of funds. Another sad story in Mudville.

Immediately tastes like what you expect from a spicy Corojo. Subtle complexity and nuances are found without much searching. Okie doke so far. But things can change on a dime and the second half is all important.

Spicy notes of black and red pepper soothe the savage breast. My manssiere is holding everything in place. Back at the ranch, there are other flavor factors: Creaminess, citrus, slight nuttiness, slight espresso, generic sweetness, and lovely tobacco notes redolent of Nicaraguan soil. As I’ve never licked Nic dirt, I’m just making shit up.

And then a very rich complexity kicks in that totally surprises me. Despite being a Nic puro, it reminds me of sweet and creamy Dominican offerings. Some of the best cigars in the world have Dominican guts.

The citrus moves to the forefront. Plotzing is on the agenda.

The char line is worthy of the Scopes Trial. No monkeying around. Sharp and cutting.

A very slow roll. Soothing like a bath with Ursula Andress. Not now. 1965. 87-year-old women don’t turn me on like they used to.

Speaking of which, Steamboat Willie just found out he is up for grabs. Mickey rebels against the Man.

Medium strength. Easy as she goes.

Normally, a Corojo blend will kick you in the nuts if you’re not looking. Not with this value cigar. CP sells them for as little as $5-$6 per stick. Like a stroll through Central Park at midnight. That made no fucking sense. I picked the wrong time to give up sniffing glue.

Who didn’t build plastic models as a kid. We were consumed by it. And speaking of consumed, we burned our brain cells to a crisp with that infamous glue.

New items…cloves, cinnamon, and acorn pie. An opine to Rocket J. Squirrel.

This is going to be a two-hour smoke. Not complaining.

I’m delighted that this blend is much better than previous sticks I chose to smoke too early. Sure, you can waste a few but it’s better to wait. I think I’ll get some more. The Vegas Cubanas is turning out to be a satisfying go-to stick. Not a flavor bomb. But very interesting as Colonel Klink would mutter.

My Amazon Subscribe and Save shit is arriving today…oh, my back. You think you have arthritis at 35,45, 55…just wait. Matzoh Brei doesn’t cure everything.

Halfway and still medium strength. But going places.

If I mentioned the flavor points, I’d be duplicating the same ol. But add additional richness, nuances, subtleties, and soft edges, and the cigar shines like Nicholson staring at you through the bathroom door.

What’s better than smoking a good cigar, as the sun rises, while sipping coffee and water and listening to music. Nothing. This cigar comes in 6 sizes. I scored another box because the Vegas Cubanas has nothing wrong with it.

I can see the end. The blend maintains its even keel strength that never exceeds medium in nature. Citrus, sweet cream, nutmeg, espresso, spicy peppers, baking spices, and deep soil. Rich and eventful. So much expensive drek out there. The Vegas Cubanas is not in that column. The cheese stands alone.

I need an oversexed rock story…Got one. I had just moved out from my first wife’s home. I was depressed. My band came to the rescue. She sat near the bandstand staring lovingly at me. We canoodled between sets. She came home with me. A wonderful night of unbridled debauchery. Ending with the loving adage, ‘I gotta get up early.’ The perfect night.

My grandsons’ godfather was shot in the line of duty two days ago. His sister is running a Go Fund Me fundraiser for him. If you can, please donate here.

From US News:
“MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Milwaukee police officer was shot, suffering a non-fatal wound, during an hours-long standoff Tuesday with a man holed up in a house, the city’s police chief said.

“The injured officer, a 38-year-old man with more than 16 years of experience, was shot when the suspect opened fire on police at the rear of the home, Police Chief Jeffrey Norman said during a news briefing.

“The officers were among those responding to a domestic violence call that evolved into the suspect firing shots at police, first at the front of the home and then at the rear,’ he said.

“No one was struck by police gunfire,’ he said.

“Four children were in the home at the time and were released by the suspect before his surrender, Norman said.”
