My cigars have gotten 3 months of naked humidor time.

THE WHOLE MEGILLAH:
The heft is just right. The draw is spot on. My PerfecDraw sits at my feet panting like my old dog Shep. I pat its miniscule head and I allow it to lick my palm. Serenity now I hear the tiny being mutter. It looks surprisingly like Jerry Stiller. And then it hits me…the PD is a Festivus Pole mini me. Grievances will now be heard.

Tasty start. Notes of black pepper, red pepper (I love the tip of the tongue tingle), very smoky and meaty, mild creaminess, dried fruit, and lastly…a lovely spectrum of richness followed by subtle range of complexity I find welcome.

Will this be a good cigar. A good purchase.

Strength wastes no time at hitting medium/full. A big boy cigar. Yassir.

I gotta say that for a sawbuck, I am pleasantly surprised. On any occasion, this cigar would have gotten a lot of unnecessary hoopla commensurate with a price tag of $20+.

Sometimes Warped will just surprise the shit out of you. In a parallel universe, this blend reminds me of Warped’s spectacular Black Honey.

I taste black raisins and orange mango. That’s not right.

The blend and its Corona size seem to be a perfect match. So many great cigars are even better in the diminutive size. The cigar’s burn is oh so slow. It’s taken 15 minutes to burn half an inch.

A very savory cigar at this early point. Much like an expensive brunch when you grab all the exotic seafood and the eggs benedict. Dessert comes later.

Gellis seems to have nailed it.

I know this sounds like bullshit shilling but it ain’t. The first couple months didn’t allow this cigar to really shine. But into month 3, it sparkles. I stopped typing and bought a fiver from Luxury Cigar Club. And I always use my 15% off promo code of katman. Better the money is in my pocket than Ben’s. I don’t lie. If I think a cigar is worthy, I snag them and tell you about them.

Poor Dr. Rod. His wiener-mobile is beyond his reach. But not beyond his imagination. I broke my leg in Yucca Valley, but my heart lies in Palm Springs.

Sips of water amplify the mellow richness. A grown-up cigar. Smooth. And that smoky meatiness is fucking insane. Warped could have pulled a fast one and doubled the price and it still would have sold like cocaine filled M&M’s.

Poor Ben Rotem. His daughters are reaching puberty.

Darryl Way told me I played too many notes.

A slight citrus taste is evident. Dried fruit is increased. Still mostly savory. Not complaining. The char line is as sharp as a Howard Cosell faux pax.

Brits never understood why I laughed when they offered me a fag.

When I got back to the States, my L.A. session playing cousin Fred Selden, asked me if I wanted to read the music, play it perfectly on the first take…or be in a rock band and play the song a million times. I told him be in a rock band. He shrugged.

Copeland playing 13/8 time was easy for some, difficult for others. He thought it was 4/4. So, there’s that.

Repeating myself is just something I do. I love the leisurely slow burn. Plenty of time to take it all in.

I’m walking to Walgreens after this review. Gotta get exercise any which way. I bought a ferret muffler to shield my face from the bitter cold. The ferret complains. I don’t listen to rodents.

Black raisins. No mango. Licorice shows itself. After the promo code, the cigar ain’t even $9. Fucking great value at hand, my lovelies. 10 years ago, this price tag would have been expensive. You go corporate CEO’s…two snaps up. Bastardos.

Every cigar website posts the exact same news releases. Why is that. The cigar industry should just send them to me and no one else…and then I can ignore them completely…like I do now. I guess it fills up the content of any given site. Fluffer.

Ever wonder what your old girlfriends are up to. Me neither.

Lawmakers won’t allow medical marijuana in Wisconsin. As soon as they figure out how to personally profit, they’ll be all in.

I believe Warped’s score with me is 50/50. Amazing how Gellis can put out stinkers and then come back with something phantastic.

Remember the band Chicago. They’re probably in Vegas.

Carol Kaye’s insistent pick method made me crazy.
Hal Blaine’s innate sense of time was…very enjoyable.

Poor Alex Gougher is getting his hernia fixed as I type this. Never should have tried lifting his wallet.

The halfway point arrives at 45 minutes. Never would have guessed a Corona could last almost 90 minutes. Score.

The burn is a specter of razor sharpness.

Butterscotch as the blend ignites some fetching sweetness. A light touch of sassafras. Moments of cotton candy. The smoky meatiness remains supreme. A now perfect balance of sweet v. savory. A non-capitalization day.

Poor Andrew Considine. New baby at home. The man hasn’t slept. But religiously feeds the short hair capybara family behind his 13-room estate in Laguna Niguel.

Strength hits full tilt with 2” to go. Rich, complex, balanced, nuanced to the hilt. Now very strong without nicotine. This is what I’m talking about.

Once in a while, a cigar makes me crave good bourbon.

I don’t want to go out in the cold. A cigar stretcher would come in handy.

My grandsons’ godfather was shot in the line of duty three days ago. He could certainly use some financial help. Please donate what you can here.

The second half of this cigar is blatantly intense. I would hold up this cigar against any of the great cigars you smoked in 2023. Always interesting. Always intriguing. And cheap against any standard. The first cigar of the day is beguiling. Let it be.

You can snag some remaining fivers from Luxury Cigar Club. Use promo code ‘katman’ to get 15% off.
