  1. I got the fiver (Last Gig) and finally got around to smoking a couple of them. I think I’m in love (or lust) with “The Vow” by Avowed. A cigar that good is almost criminal! I also did the “SBC22” and enjoyed it but it kicked my arse. I’m not sure why because I like strong cigars but that one was almost too much for me.

Thanks for the great reviews/recommendations! I get cigars from a couple of local brick and mortar shops and my online purchases are almost exclusively thru SBC. They are the top of the line to me.

    • Hey John,

I am so happy that you like the cigars.
I agree about The Vow. It is right up my alley.
I like strong cigars as well…but in moderation as I have gotten older. My arse gets kicked more easily now…I like the buzz. When opting for potent cigars, I prefer Paul Stulac blends than the typical AJ powerhouses. They remind me fondly of Padron. I get a very dark black cherry richness from Stulac sticks.
The SBC22 needs time. I bought a box a couple months ago and dabble in smoking them now and again knowing full well that they aren’t ready. Sometimes, they bowl me over and other times it’s a slow cruise. Go figure.

I like the folks at SBC because they are reliable and knowledgeable…their website is user friendly. I find that a lot of boutique sites are confusing because they try to shove 10lbs of shit in a 5lb bag. After a while, I take SBC for granted because I can navigate it easily. We’re smokers, not brainiacs.

And thank you for the very kind words, John.
      Phil
