My cigars received 4 months of naked humidor time.

THE WHOLE MEGILLAH:
It is no easy feat undressing this cigar. I am rewarded with the wrapper’s lovely aromas of milk chocolate, floral notes, a ripple of caramel, sweet cedar, and vanilla.

There is a nicely closed foot that looks like what Catholic bishops wear…I believe they do remove them before they fondle you…it’s all about decorum.

I clipped the foot because I’d like to store it with the start of my collection. My goal is to press them into Lucite in either an ashtray or a Dominion voting machine.

The draw is magnificent. Popping notes of peppermint, white pepper, caramel, vanilla, candied pecans, and milk chocolate. My PerfecDraw lurks behind my chair waiting to pounce…it thinks it’s Cato Fong.

Jesus, the smoke is blinding. Not nice smoke output.

I prefer only sippin’ water when I smoke my cigars. Anything else flavors the blend and might eradicate the subtleties. Not always, but surely most of the time. Don’t call me Shirley.

I started buying my young grandsons their Christmas gifts. First up was a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. The older one gets the lamp…he’s 7…might as well start him out in the right direction.

The early intonations of the blend send signals of earthy cedar, vanilla, easy creaminess, white pepper, and a nice hint of floral. A dreamy cigar so far.

I’m immediately struck that the cigar tastes like Casdagli’s Daughters of the Wind collection. A similar blend with its roots at the Kelner Farm in the DR. I’m good with this.

A beautiful slow roll. Transitions kick in after one inch is given to the gods. A sip of my favorite Stone Creek coffee blend, black of course, and the blend is influenced and reports with a stronger peppery note that I like. The blend has a precise balance of sweet v. savory. This is a very delicate cigar. I handle it gently. It responds with a perfect char line.

If you like Casdagli, you will love this blend. IGM Cigars produced Daughters of the Wind for Jeremy. Their line of blends uses Costa Rican tobacco that provides a nice accent to your waking up period in the morning. If you haven’t tried their Frog, you should. Same goes for the Aviator Series 10th Anniversary Petite Cochon Volant.

The cigar feels fragile. But I don’t know why. I can’t explain it. A Sunday brunch in an outside café with the sun warming your forehead. Watching people walk by who wish they were you. Instead, they are being dragged around carrying fancy shopping bags for their girlfriends.

The ash is stout in its thighs. I know that means something but I’m wavering at giving a reasonable explanation.

Lemon custard enters and is welcomed by the subtle creaminess that leaps into the fray. Vanilla is a marvelous accompaniment. Milk chocolate hangs in the back of my throat along with the mild pepperiness. This is a good cigar. It’s been out for a year, and I have no idea why I’ve not smoked one till recently.

At the halfway point, the subtlety continues with the addition of honeysuckle. Strength remains at a neutral medium. It will stay here. My kind of cigar for morning roll call.

Complexity never stops reaching. The second half is my babe. A slow and even progression that marks this cigar as a good deed. I like nice surprises.

When you get older, you don’t want to be miserable and carry a grudge. There are things you don’t see until life experience gives you that gift.

The second half sees transitional movement. One moment it’s this and the other moment it’s that. I have not lost interest and I’m paying attention. I’m a good dog.

I want to eat this thing. It’s so damn flavorful that I might declare it a flavor bomb. But the resonance does not contain big bright essences; rather, subtlety and depth are on display. You gotta smoke it to truly understand. Either that or you need someone who is actually a writer to explain this.

Sip of black coffee. There are flashes thanks to acid trips in the 60’s. With the coffee, there is causation of milk chocolate and pecans. With water there is a connection with creamy lemon, floral, honeysuckle, caramel, and white pepper. This is a blend to be dissected. You gotta pay attention so you can soak up the delicacy of this blend. If you just mosh your way through this experience, all is lost and so is your $15.

The first half was excellent. The second half is first rate cigar smoking. Don’t rush away from this cigar. Don’t overlook it as I have. This cigar should be in my morning rotation.

My local carries Principle. I have liked them all – the ones i have tried anyways. The Martinique is excellent. I have had a couple Aviators, though not this one. I think i smoked an Accomplice too. More than anything else i have smoked the Frothy Monkey and Flechette. Would love to read your reviews of those, particularly the Flechette – a great short smoke and unique size. I have probly smoked about 10 of those. Hope your doing well.

    Best regards.
