I’m sitting in the bitter cold of Wisconsin watching a Ken Burns documentary about Earnest Hemingway and smoking my last Tennessee Waltz. This is a damn fine cigar.
I looked and looked and either they can be had at online stores for the max price of $12 per stick, sold only in 20 count boxes, or they are sold out.
And then I found gold. I’ve done business with non-sponsor Famous Smoke. And you can snag a box of 20 for $7.50 per stick. Did I perform seppuku? Did I endure a coffee enema? Or did I snag a box?
Even better! If you use promo code FAMOUS20, the price per stick drops to $6.50. Is this madness?
The new Waltz is decorated in two cigar bands and a ribbon footer. This issue only has the orange footer ribbon which means it has some box aging on it.
Famous is not a sponsor, so I make no guarantees. It’s just a deal I got in on and thought I’d pass on the info.
Famous throws in a fiver of the Inferno 3rd Degree Sixty. I reviewed this Oliva stick in 2016 and gave it an 89.
The Famous Smoke website says the deal ends on January 11.
Tell the wife the box contains the kidney you’ve been waiting on for years.
Here’s the DEAL.

Any time I’m at a country or bluegrass show, the appearance of the 3/4 time signature sends me straight to the restroom. I’m super picky about waltzes. Strauss, dazed and confused by Zep, El Paso by Marty Robbins, manic depression by Hendrix… those are good waltzes. But I found a fiver of these on cigar page for about 7 a stick and I’m hoping this is a good waltz and not some plodding, tedious number that’s only good when you’re drunk.
