I know this is nuts. First it was telling you about folding knives and now it’s about the sturdiest belt I’ve own.
6 months ago, I bought a Penn Standard gun belt. Nah, I don’t pack all that often, unless I go to Piggly Wiggly, the Post Office, or an ICE rally. But I love a 1.5″ well-made belt that will last 50 years. I don’t wear no sissy fancy boy belts.
This morning, I saw that Field Supply (which is associated with Cigar Page) has a sale. For $29.00, $30.00, or $38.00, these will be the last belts you will ever own. If you own good belts, you know darn well that these things cost two three times as much. My last Milt Sparks belt, in 2016, was $125.
You can pick stitched models or non-stitched models.
And the outstanding part is that if you want to David Carradine yourself, know this…your neck will stretch, your eyes will bulge, your tongue will explode, and your shit shall splay; but your belt will last you and your pals forever.
And even better! They are made right here in America!!!
Here’s what Field Supply has to say:
American-made Penn Standard Amish leather belts for a fraction of the cost. Starting with thick 100% full grain bridle, vegetable tanned USA leather the Amish leather workers carefully handcrafted these into highest quality leather belts I’ve seen. Each belt comes with a heavy duty stainless steel roller buckle and is screwed together using top-quality Chicago screws. The Chicago screws let you swap out the current buckle for your own buckle. Perfect for everyday use and CCW.
Sizing note:
For casual wear and outer holster wear (OWB) we recommend going up two sizes. If you are planning on using an inner wear holster (IWB) we recommend going three sizes. For example, if you normally wear 34 we recommend a 38″ for Casual/OWB and 40″ for IWB

As usual, I’m not making a cent on your backs. I wish I could, but I’m not. I’m just letting you know about the occasional deal, and one I endorse, as I bought one too.
Maybe sign up with them for notifications as I did because they sell all kinds of crap that’s fun to peruse.

I’m very glad you told us about Field Supply. I have been impressed. They seem to get overruns from top of the line suppliers and then sell them at ridiculously low prices – similar to the Cigar Page business model, at least to a degree.
I too bought several belts and holsters from Milt Sparks in the early 90’s. I still use the holsters. Unfortunately, I outgrew the belts.

Hey Jeff,
I got a chuckle. Despite the inherent longevity of good gun belts, I, too, typically outgrow mine every 7 years.
Even if you don’t buy anything from Field Supply, it’s fun to check out their site.
