Deal on La Aurora | Cigar Reviews by the Katman

In keeping with my recent obsession with La Aurora, I found great deals on two La Aurora blends that I like immensely. Both are at 60% savings.

The first is the La Aurora 1987 Connecticut. It is a medium strength cigar with impressive leaf stats:
Wrapper: Connecticut (Ecuador).
Binder: Ecuador.
Filler: Cibao Valley (Dominican Rep), Nicaragua & Peru
Size: 5.75 x 54 Toro
Price at Cigar Page: $3.50 in a bundle of 20

The second deal is the La Aurora Barrel-Aged Karl Malone which is another medium strength cigar. This morning, I posted my 2022 review because I found this deal. Again, lovely leaf stats:
Wrapper: Ecuadorian
Binder: Ecuadorian ~ Rum Barrel-Aged for 6 months
Filler: Dominican, Nicaraguan, Peruvian ~ Aged 6 Years and then Rum-Barrel Aged for 6 Months
Size: 5.7 x 54 Sumo Toro
Strength: Medium
Price at Cigar Page: $4.00 in a bundle of 20

There must be over 100 deals on this morning’s sales page but as the list is mostly alphabetical, just scroll about halfway down the page.

This deal is only good until March 25 at 11:59 PM.

GO TO CIGAR PAGE HERE.

P.S. I bought a bundle of each before I published this deal.

  1. Both sound great. Especially the Karl Malone. Question do you always do your tastings with water verses coffee or spirits. Do you find flavors homebound more eith just water. Trying and trying to get flavor profiles. Maybe to many years as chef killed my palate. Lol. Please let me know. Thanks Lee.

    • Water is my go-to. I find that other libations distract my palate. I don’t drink spirits, never have. I love the taste but for some reason, I get drunk after two sips.
My first couple cigars of the day are generally medium strength. I up it after food finds a way to my belly as lighter blends don’t fare well.
No one needs to dissect flavors. If I’m not writing about a cigar, I just enjoy the moments. Your palate, trained or untrained, will know what you like without being able to discern the reviewer’s standbys of chocolate, espresso, almonds, cedar, and spice. I enjoy placing the cigar up to my nose before lighting. I especially like the foot as it is always dense and aromatic.

      Thanks for your comment,
      Phil

      • Thanks for the reply. That helps. I do try to just enjoy the moment and smoke. But, probably like a lot of other people would love to catch those fleeting flavors. I may try sparking lemon water with my next see how that goes. Always great to read your reviews. Keep it up. Thanks again Lee.
