Michael Giordano has been a very nice, and giving, man. I’ve had the chance to be the first to review his brand of Cult Cigars which have been picked up by major online stores. I have reviewed the Classic, Fuerte, and Ometepe. And Blood Red Moon.
Now he is challenging me to review this cigar as almost a blind taste test as the only info he will give me is that stats for the leaves. After that, I’m on my own.

So, obviously, I can’t give you any background info. So we shall get right to it.
The price for all the sizes is as follows:
Profile Sizes and MSRP :
Churchill 7 x 50 $6.70
Grand Toro 6 x 60 $6.80
Robusto 4.5 x 54 $6.50
Toro 6. X 50 $6.60
Torpedo 6 x 54 $6.80

Construction of the cigars is excellent. Firm sticks. Seams are tight. Lots of veins. A medium brown wrapper. A single cap, well done. A nice amount of oil and a bit sandy to the touch.

I sniff and detect massive amounts of dark chocolate. There is also cedar, eye watering spice, cinnamon, and ginger.
I light up.

The first puffs are cocoa and spice. Followed by chocolate cake. Loads of smoke and the draw is perfect. The char line is dead nuts. It starts out as classic medium bodied.

The cake flavor, helped by a buttery smoothness, is a first for me. I can taste the vanilla bean, and ginger. And then the spice ratchets up big time. The ash is close to snow white…which I’m sure the dwarfs won’t mind.

This is a totally different blend than the Cult line. I love all the Cult blends but I think I’m going to love Profile more. Profile has a very sophisticated flavor profile even at this early stage. It reeks of being a $9-$10 cigar. Complexity begins by the first inch mark.
Holy crap! This is one of the best cigars I’ve reviewed as of late. It sure beats to hell the Illusione r Rothchildes I reviewed earlier.

I can tell now that this stick wants to be full bodied early in the experience.

Cult is a line blended for the masses. Profile is blended for the experienced aficionado. This is not a cigar for newbies. The flavors are subtle, but distinct. It is so jam packed that it burns very slow. I can tell you now I love this cigar. I think I’ve already said that.
The cocoa is moving to the forefront. The spiciness, which is black pepper, continues to be Garcia-like. That pepper blast at the front end.
If you look very closely at the band, just on the side; in the smallest font possible, it says “Cult Cigars.” I’m not sure my cheap camera will pick it up but I will try. By the way, I think the band has a very classy look to it. You really have to examine it closely because there is a lot going on in subtle ways.

It takes over 10 minutes to get to the one inch mark. I can’t wait for what’s ahead.

Luscious creaminess shows its head. This is going to be a flavor bomb. I only received these cigars two days ago. I dry boxed them for 24 hours and then I thought I’d take a wild chance and review one. Very few cigars are capable of exhibiting the blender’s intent in such a short time. God knows what they will taste like in a few months.

The cigar gets a meaty complexion. I think it is a precursor to becoming full bodied.

This stick has the perfect profile to drink with fine Scotch. This is a savory cigar that makes you pay attention.
The draw continues to be perfect and the char line doesn’t miss a trick. It’s on point.
A tobacco sweetness enters. A dried fruit sweetness accompanies it. Probably raisin.

Wow. I’m not done with the first third and this cigar is a must have. I hope Mike puts this stick up for sale soon because I want more. A box. He didn’t say anything about sizes. For a toro, it is pumping out flavor like a smaller cigar. Most toros take some time to get to fruition. This one stomps on the gas right away.

I decide to really set the stage for enjoying this cigar. I am alone in the house. My wife and daughter are both at work so it’s just me and the dog. I turn the TV on and put it on the Blues channel and crank it. I have a nice sound bar so my favorite instrument; the bass comes through like a champ.

You know how bass players become bassists? Just like me, they find themselves in Junior High going to a school dance with a real band playing. And we spend our whole time in front of the stage, in front of the bassist letting that thump penetrate our guts. That’s where the love comes from first time out. That’s why I’ve always played deep, powerful bass guitars or upright basses. I want to feel it. It is something innate. And the best players do this because of that Junior High experience. Really.

I close the first third and this cigar is so damn complex that I have a huge smile on my puss. Now this is a people pleasing cigar. Big time.
The flavors find themselves in the second third pretty much the same and in the same order of presence. If the cigar doesn’t get any better than this, I am totally satisfied.

I close in on the halfway point and the black pepper turns into red pepper and ramps up.

The sweetness of the tobacco and raisin component, the cocoa and chocolate cake flavors are still in force. There is a tiny bit of tea in there as well. A dark, potent tea like Earl Gray. The creaminess covers them all. The body remains at medium.

Mike Giordano is on a journey of blending new cigars. He’s only started and is a young man. To me, everyone is a young man. But he has a lot of years ahead of him to experiment and come up with new blends. I’m in the bleachers cheering him on. The Profile is a quantum leap in his line of cigars.

The last third begins and I expect some big changes. We shall see.

The flavors are urged forward from the burning of the first two thirds. Flavors begin to ramp up. The complexity is still there but the different components all want to be tasted. Every flavor gets stronger. My tongue is making my eyes water from the spice.

I have to thank Mike for having so much faith in me. This does not go unnoticed.

The cigar officially enters its flavor bomb period. And the strength is increasing.

The cap is so well constructed that not a single piece of loose tobacco has occurred. I get tired of pulling crap off of some cigars until the cap end looks like moosh.

The creaminess is at full tilt now. The cigar tastes like a chocolate milk shake.
The cigar finishes out cool as a cuke. No harshness or bitterness. The flavors are bright and it reaches full bodied.

I highly recommend this cigar. It is a terrific blend. And one that should become very popular.
