Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano
Size: 6 x 50 “Toro”
Price: $2.50 by the box
NOTE: As it turns out, Famous Smoke is not the only purveyor of these cigars. Everyone else online is selling them too so it should not be construed that I have a problem with Famous. In fact, I probably owe them a great favor for being so generous by shelling these freebies out.
I got some cigars from Famous Smoke and Famous threw in three Nica Roma toros of all three blends: Maduro, Connecticut, and Habano.
I am not sure I should even bother reviewing this cigar because of the price. But a shit load of smokers got this threesome like I did. So I thought I might be able to shed some light on the Habano. My favorite wrapper.
First, the cigar is made by Villiger USA. So this is dicey. On the Famous site, someone gave the maduro gordo a 34 rating. Oh my.
That person also wrote a short review: “I got three of these gems for free with my last order. I cannot express how bad this cigar is. Something like smoking cardboard, I tossed the cigar almost immediately. Overpriced at free.”
The stick is extremely rustic. Exposed seams. Loads of veins. Sloppy caps. Cracks in the wrapper. The maduro is even worse. I don’t know if the cigar will hold together for the whole review. I’ve got my Kingpin glue ready and waiting.
I clip the cap and smell barnyard, dried apricot, dried peachs, and that’s it.
Time to light up.
