Primer Mundo La Hermandad, and Clase Reserva, made their debut at the 2012 IPCPR trade show.
Here is part of their press release for this blend:
July 29, 2012 (Atlanta, GA) — Primer Mundo Cigar Company, makers of El Primer Mundo premium boutique cigars are proud to announce the launch of La Hermandad, which will debut at the IPCPR industry trade show being held from August 2nd- 6th in Orlando, FL.
“La Hermandad represents an exciting new dynamic in the portfolio of El Primer Mundo cigars. Now well into its 6th year of operation Primer Mundo Cigar Company has consistently received solid ratings and reviews from industry publications and online media outlets. Their EPM Select Line which includes the Red, Blue, and Black Labels are made with Nestor Plasencia in Nicaragua and their Little Havana Series which includes the Liga Miami, Epifania, and Clase Reserva are being made in Miami at El Titan de Bronze on Calle Ocho. El Primer Mundo Cigars is a boutique cigar brand in the truest since of the word and has enjoyed support from a loyal base of consumers and retailers from coast to coast.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the finest people in the business and I’m really proud of the products that we’ve brought to the market over the last 6 years” Said Sean Williams, Founder & President of Primer Mundo Cigar Company. “I just want to be sure and continue to offer products that reflect my palate while increasing the profile and diversity within the EPM family of cigars”
The company worked with PDR and Abe Flores in the Dominican Republic to produce this blend.
The cigar comes in three sizes: 5×50 Caballito, 6×52 Embajador, and 6×60 Consejero. The retail range will be in the $8-$9 territory.
The cigar band is 3-1/4” long and takes up most of the 5” length making it difficult to see the wrapper without removing it.
It slides off like a condom…nice and easy. The cigar is very nice looking with a beautiful dark coffee colored wrapper. Seams are invisible. A plethora of veins. Nice and firm. A nicely done triple cap. And with lots of oily sheen and very sandy to the touch.
I clip the cap and find aromas of coffee, spice, cocoa, cedar, wood, leather, and sweetness.
Time to light up.
It starts off shooting from a cannon. Spice envelops my palate. The strength feels very strong from the beginning. It has a huge punch. Totally takes me by surprise.

The draw is perfect and clouds my vision as I try to type with the cigar in my mouth. I feel like I’ve been cold cocked by Ali. What a kick in the pants that was.
It is very much like the best Illusione blends. It has that almost full body right from the get go. Loads of spice. And some flavor buried underneath the frontal attack.
The onslaught settles down and flavors come forth such as: Sweetness, chocolate, espresso, creaminess, and something fruity. Like me.
With a different, hipper label on it, this stick would go for a few bucks more. I’ve had some real PR machine backed sticks lately in the $12-$15 range and at the ½” mark, I take this one.
It is on the verge of becoming a flavor bomb. I just know this stick is going to kick my arse in the last third with a nicotine kick to end all nicotine kicks.
At the 1” mark, the cigar is strikingly delicious. Out of this world delicious. Man oh man.

It went right past mild, medium, medium/full and hit the full button by that first inch.
There is a wonderful sweetness coming from a fruity base I can’t detect yet. Too early to delineate it.
The fruit is a combo of black cherry, mango, and melon.
I begin the second third and the stick is incredible. I want more of these. I got these in the mail without a note. I have no idea who they are from. But now I am on a mission.
This is most definitely a cigar you don’t want to end.
Flavors: Creaminess, sweetness, wood, leather, espresso, cedar, spice, cocoa, fruit, and very meaty.
Sean Williams, my son, you are a bloody genius.

I realize I am making an ass of myself but this is one of the best tasting cigars…EVER!
The only change into the second third is that the flavors are bolder and intense. The strength has either moved back to medium/full or I just became accustomed to the full body.
The ash is very delicate and flaky and doesn’t last long. Who cares. I wish I had Taste-O-Vision so you could experience what I taste.
I near the halfway point. The spice, which had moved to the middle ground, makes resurgence and is very powerful once more.
So far, even with the strength being as it is, no sign of a nicotine kick.
This cigar has become one of the most complex blends I have tasted in a long time.
The balance is perfect. It is chewy with a very long finish. And now my vision begins to blur a little. Uh-oh. LOL.
I grab an Atkins shake to get something into my stomach. And I stop chomping the cigar. If I don’t stop, I will hallucinate like it’s 1968.
The flavors are so bold that I start laughing. This is one helluva cigar. Maybe Sean Williams has signed a pact with the devil? Like Robert Johnson?
I begin the last third and the cigar seemed to go by way too quickly due to the enjoyment factor. Actually, it has taken me almost an hour to get to this point.

The meaty element cannot be understated. It isn’t really smoky but seems to give that illusion. If you like the fire cured cigars out now, you must try this. It is the best of both worlds.
The nicotine really kicks in with less than a couple inches to go. I’ve got the blues on my stereo and I am swaying involuntarily. Remember, only a pro can do this.
Well, Sean Williams. What do you have to say to us? It is too bad he doesn’t have the massive PR machine the other big brands have. I never rate cigars because it is too subjective. But I am going to rate this cigar a 98. For my tastes, this is a perfect blend.
The cigar finishes out without a hint of harshness or bitterness. And it is cool as a cuke.
Damn. If you people don’t go out and get yourself some…well, I just won’t love you like I do.
I remember now. I bought a 5 pack on Cigar Monster for around $25. The same 5 pack on Famous Smoke is $39. They seem to be the only online store that has the entire blend line up.
