Kershaw 2075 Payout Assisted Flipper Knife | Cigar Reviews by the Katman

How odd is this? I’m telling you about a great deal on a knife instead of cigars.

I love knives. Don’t tell my court appointed psychiatrist. Men love sharp and shiny things. Good knives are very expensive. Kershaw is a great producer of high-quality knives at user friendly prices.

I’ve been a Kershaw fan for 20 years. The Payout has become my favorite. It has weight and feels good in the hand. It is all steel without a hint of plastic in the handle. It has that cool switch blade style spring assisted opening function. The damn thing keeps its edge. And I use it to shave Sammy the Cat’s scrotal region because he likes to impress the ladies.

This knife goes for $108. I have found a couple dealers that will give you a deal at $60-$70.
I found mine at Field Supply for $43. Every Kershaw I’ve loved has hovered at the C bill mark. I should have bought two in case I have to fight off IRS agents.

Here’s the lowdown on this knife:

“The Kershaw Payout is a larger knife designed to make an impression with its dynamic look and high performance. Featuring a substantial 3.5-inch D2 steel blade, the Payout combines functionality with aesthetic appeal. The top swedge on the blade reduces weight, while the handle showcases a blend of machined steel and black G10, enhanced by copper-colored anodized aluminum accents.

Features:
Impressive Blade Design: The 3.5-inch D2 steel blade is not only large and durable but also features a unique top swedge for a dynamic appearance and reduced weight.
High-Quality Materials: D2 high-carbon tool steel provides excellent wear resistance and edge retention.
Aesthetic Enhancements: The knife includes copper anodized aluminum accents on the pivot ring, standoff/lanyard hole, and over-travel stop for a custom look.
Comfortable Handle: The steel-and-G10 handle is deeply contoured to fit comfortably in the palm.
Quick Opening: Kershaw’s assisted opening mechanism allows the blade to open swiftly with a flipper.
Deep-Carry Convenience: The wrap-around pocketclip ensures the knife can be carried discreetly and securely.

Specifications:
Blade Length: 3.5 in. (8.9 cm)
Blade Material: D2

Handle Finish/Coating: Stonewashed finish back
Handle Thickness: 0.4 in. (10 mm)
Overall Length: 8.3 in. (21.3 cm)
Weight: 5.3 oz. (150.3 g)
Hardware: Black-oxide steel pivot nut, bronze anodized aluminum pivot collar, black-oxide steel pocket clip, bronze anodized aluminum tube spacers, black-oxide steel screws.

“The Kershaw Payout stands out with its larger size and unique design elements. The 3.5-inch blade made of D2 tool steel offers superior edge retention and toughness, making it ideal for everyday carry and outdoor tasks. The handle’s blend of machined steel and black G10, along with copper anodized accents, provides a visually striking look. The assisted opening mechanism ensures quick and easy deployment of the blade, while the wrap-around pocket clip allows for deep carry convenience. With its robust construction and custom touches, the Payout is a reliable and stylish addition to any knife collection.”

I don’t get a dime for this. I just found myself fiddling with my Kershaw Payout because the Bills/Jaguars game wasn’t that exciting…until the end, of course.
Tell your wife it’s a fiver…but you know it will last longer.

I’ve seen other’s say that a cigar was a 96 and you shot it down to a 70. Honestly means a ton to so many so thanks again!

  4. Great knife! Kershaw…. another knife from Oregon, the knife making capital of the USA. Google it, it gets interesting!

I have a nice collection of handmade knives and a few folders. Let’s compare notes sometime.

  5. Kershaw makes a great knife for a reasonable price. I switched to the Kershaw flippers 5 or 6 years ago when my hands became arthritic enough that the Syderco thumb hole and everyone else’s thumb studs became difficult to operate. Benchmade automatics are even easier to use if you live in a state that allows them.
