Throwin’ down on those La Auroras lately, Uncle! I gotta admit I haven’t smoked a lot of LA’s but I have a 5er of those Cameroons and a few Fuerte Sols resting so I’m lookin forward to checking em out. CHEERS

I’ve enjoyed and reviewed a lot of La Aurora blends but as is the case of all smokers, I was lured away by the siren call of the expensive foo foo cigars. I’ve reviewed 27 La Aurora blends since 2012.
I’m happy that I returned for a revisit. It’s like being a kid in a candy store. So many blends and all of them affordable. I must admit that focusing solely on high end boutique cigars for the last few years caused near irreparable harm to my inherent openness.
La Aurora is the oldest manufacturer in the Dominican Republic. Their cigars are not farmed out as is popular with so many blenders and knowing where your cigars are made, and done so consistently, is a good thing for a smoker’s trust.
The La Aurora Small Batch Lot No. 006 was my #9 cigar of 2025.
