The Tommy Emmanuel Interview | World’s Greatest Acoustic Guitarist | Cigar Reviews by the Katman

If you’re not a serious musician, you probably have no idea who Tommy Emmanuel is.

Another Rick Beato interview uncovers the brilliance of this man in an hour long sit down. And Beato does what he does best, his listens and lets the talent speak.

Emmanuel will blow you out of your comfortable seat with his playing.
But even if you aren’t a musician, you should listen to this man explain how to capture an audience with the most important skill: FEEL.

“At the age of six, he was touring Australia with his family band. By 30, he was a rock lead guitarist playing stadiums. At 44, he became one of five people ever named a Certified Guitar Player (CGP) by his idol, music icon Chet Atkins. Influenced by the Merle Travis/Chet Atkins fingerstyle of guitar picking, Tommy developed a style of solo guitar playing that encompasses the range of a whole band – covering drums, bass, rhythm, lead guitar and vocal melody simultaneously.”

The longer you watch this episode, the more you will be drawn in. Tommy takes the most technical aspects and makes them understandable to the layman. So much so, that you will exit the interview with a huge knowledge you never possessed.
Enjoy.

  1. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him live twice. Whenever I think I’m getting good and really want to be humbled I just watch some videos of him. A personal favorite of mine on YouTube is him doing white freightliner blues with Molly Tuttle who’s a killer younger flatpicker from the Bay Area. New Mexico is alright, the people there will treat you fine!
