One last deal. And it’s super affordable. La Aurora 120th Anniversary. A great cigar that I’m going to do a dual video review with Alex Svenson in the coming week. Normally $15.50 per stick. The sale is $4.50 each in a tenner from Field Supply. You gotta scroll as it’s on a very long sales page. Click on photo.

    • You make an excellent point, Tim.
Big business does not acknowledge that everyone is struggling. None of the people who dictate prices have a clue what a gallon of milk or a dozen eggs cost. Our current culture of ‘greed is good’ is the saddest thing I’ve seen in my three quarters of a century on this planet.
Inflation is around 3%. It has nothing to do with reality. I see grocery items go up weekly.
I’ve explained what entails the cost of a cigar. Here is the truth about the release of the Stulac/Katman Blue Lightning Sky. They sold for $10. $9.00 after a promo code. Paul was whole with charging a little over $4. I received $2. The seller got $3. Expensive cigars…add a couple more bucks to what Paul charged. A $25 stick probably has a cost of $7-$8 for the manufacturer. $4-$5 goes to the seller. And the remaining $12+/- is pure profit for the manufacturer. I believe I’m inflating the numbers to make a point. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is 100% profit. Companies only think about what it takes to maintain their lifestyle. They don’t give a shit about the middle class. I have cigar smoking friends in Europe and what they pay for a single cigar is insane. But their inflated prices are mostly due to taxes.
Bottom line is that we indulge in a very expensive hobby. I wish I had a remedy. One of the many reasons that I’m retiring at the end of 2026 is the cost of cigars. I can’t keep up. I can’t imagine how difficult it is for those with young families. My heart goes out to them.

      Thanks for your comment,
      Phil
