Actually, who cares, right? In 4 months, I’m history. End of an era. End of punishing you with my idiocy. End of me getting up at 3:30am to write. The last part isn’t true…I’m retired so I get up when I want.
17 years. That’s a long time. How long is it? Minus 17 from your age. Yeah, it’s that long.
I’ll also add some 3″ x 3″ Katman stickers and a fridge magnet.

Gonna miss your style. Are you passing the baton (blog) on to a young snarkier version of you? There’s gotta be some schmuck you’ve been grooming to take over right?

Please contact your old friend Stewart Copeland to see if he can fill in for you when you retire. His reviews won’t be nearly as good but he would be entertaining. I figure 3 weeks of his drivel will drive you out of retirement.

Phil, take my word for what it’s worth, maybe bubkehs. I retired 26 years ago this past July. For several years I had a pretty active volunteer gig and it kept me engaged with life. When that ended, without having a committed schedule of activities, I became disengaged with many people and activities I had enjoyed in the past. You’ve shared the sorrow of having a loving mate afflicted with memory loss and I’m certain that you see your near future as solely a care giver. You must have something else in your life besides tending to your wife’s needs. The years of care giver will diminish your memories of the wonderful times you spent together. You may be tired of the blog and may decide that smoking cigars may impede your ability to care for your wife. Perhaps, it’s time to get serious about finding a group of guys with whom you can play music on a regular schedule. Be well, be positive and enjoy your daughter and family.

Newton R. White says the picture makes my mouth water. I’m betting each if the 13 has a minimum six months naked in the humidor. More impressive is the fridge magnet — because I don’t have one and my wife would have daily reminders of my filthy habit.
A little sorry that it’s all over in 120 days but I get it. Retirement is a necessary evil.

Well, as I’ve stated before, I never win ANYTHING. There can be 20 raffle tickets for something. I can buy 19 of em and whoever buys that 20th ticket will win. Just how it is. “Born under a baaaad sign…”. Hey I don’t mean to whine; I’ve had many years of great stories and advice from the Katman; I cant complain!! CHEERS
