My cigars have had 4 months of naked humidor time.

BACKGROUND:
From Atlantic Cigar:
“The cigar has seen a variety of limited editions since its release but the one thing that has been constant is the regular production United Cigars Firecracker. This year, the cigar gets rebranded and re-boxed giving it a more finished and polished look. The regular production comes to us from the Dominican Republic and is made at the Magia Cubana factory in Santiago. The cigar is very different between the two halves. At 3.5″ it is a quick smoke and a great choice if your time is short. The First half the cigar is a flavor bomb with notes of cinnamon, apples, brown sugar and a touch of graham crackers. The second half of the cigar the strength ramps up giving it that Firecracker pop that you expect from the line.”

THE WHOLE MEGILLAH:
Caramel, honey, creamy vanilla, and black pepper adorn the wrapper via the schnoz.

The cigar does not need my PerfecDraw. It scrunches down and sulks.

A mild start with some punch from the black pepper.

It has an immediate nicety about it. Some richness seeks serenity.

The aromas translate to the flavor: creaminess, vanilla, caramel, and spiciness.
The thing is burning like a cigarette. Smoke is an unending plume to the ceiling above.

So far, it seems I have a good $6 stick on my hands. Mildly complex. Richness is the key to a positive reflex from me.

The char line is exemplary. Good construction.

There was a time, ah yes, that we smoked our $6 cigars and were not only solvent, but happy as well. Now we pay $50 for a toilet plunger, but the shipping is free.

The burn is slow. Chalk one up in the plus category. I really expected the worst. Shame on me.

I’m pretty sure waiting 4 months was the right thing to do. I don’t advise smoking a $6 stick upon receipt.

I bought a new TV for my man cave from Amazon. (Calm the fuck down). I will not. (Oh yeah…well…oh yeah. OK). I’m not paranoid. (Get off me!).

The cigar. Strength is medium/full.

¾” burned. Nearly 15 minutes. I erroneously thought that the cigar would not make it past 15 minutes.

You try and do the cool thing by popping the pigtail off and smoking through the entry point and one is rewarded with a sloppy cap. In the end, cutting was destined.

Ronnie Earl station. Slow blues seems not to be a lot of fun to play. It is. There is godhead in simplicity.

Flavors hover around the spiciness, creaminess, and generic sweetness. A short cigar doesn’t have the time to evolve. It is more of a novelty. Lanceros are designed perfectly for the evolution of the blend. I smoked Nubs when they hit the shelves. That innovation wore off quickly. Too high maintenance. Same reason I gave up on pipe smoking.

“Baby, You’re a Drag.” Ever go to a drag show? Once. A big guy shoved his real D sized boobs in my face. It was fun until I pondered it later.

If you want this cigar to get hot, puff away. So, don’t.

Not a bad cigar. Obviously, more months of humidor time ain’t going to turn this blend into a Padron. Again, for $6 you can’t go wrong.

Rather than accelerate, flavors maintain an even keel. Never gets harsh or bitter. The modicum of richness saves the day.

Smoke time was 45 minutes.

Two of my sponsors carry this cigar: Small Batch Cigar (10% off iwth promo code ‘katman), Luxury Cigar Club (15% off with promo code ‘katman’) and Atlantic Cigar.

RATING: 90 (Price is factored).
