Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich The Chef’s Special (BP) Figurado LE | Cigar Reviews by the Katman

I had to have these.
Nope. Too soon for a review. Just a heads up that only 2500 boxes were produced and they are disappearing as quickly as my virginity once I learned to play bass guitar at 15.

According to Atlantic Cigar:
“Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri and Erik Espinosa of Espinosa Premium Cigars have teamed up to create the Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich cigar line. The Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich cigars are available in an Ecuadorian Habano and an Ecuadorian Sumatra maduro, with an all Nicaraguan core. Both deliver a medium bodied smoke that’s packed with an uppercut of rich flavor notes that’s sure to delivery you to “flavor town.” These beauties are handmade at AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano factory in Nicaragua. The Habano delivers a creamy smoke, with notes of nuts, white pepper and sweet cedar. While the Maduro, deliver rich notes of spice, dark chocolate and fruit.”

As far as Guy Fieri “helping to develop these cigars…” Well, as in all celebrity driven cigar blends, this means that the manufacturer brings the celeb into their conference room and the famous guy tries all the blends that the cigar maker throws at him and then the famous guy chooses the one he likes…so much for helping to develop a blend.

Still, this line has become very successful due to Espinosa’s skills and kudos to him.

On the back of my box, there is a sticker that shows the date and a number 14. Is it the 14th box made? Is it the age of the child who rolled it? Or is it a stamp that has satanic leanings that only the Child of Mister Mxyzptlk can translate?

Atlantic Cigar still has singles for $1.50 less than the MSRP of $15 per stick.
